Students' Reviews
Before moving to India, I studied online with Rosetta Stone for approximately 1 month, so I had a little bit knowledge of Hindi when I arrived. I tried a 1:1 tutoring program with my work and found it lacked structure, planning, and interactivity.
And then a friend of mine referred me to The Lingua India institute for one-on-one classes and we worked together for over a year.
The Lingua India’s teacher came prepared each week with lesson materials and did a great job of making class interactive. Having private classes in my home made regular attendance to class much more feasible for me.
She was reliable and always arrived at our set lesson times. At the same time, she was understanding of the scheduling demands of someone working full-time while studying.
She uses a variety of media (books, worksheets, videos) in her lessons and sent follow-up homework assignments by mail. Working with her definitely enhanced my understanding and appreciation of Hindi and allowed me to communicate better with drivers, people in the market, and colleagues during my time in Delhi.”

My Hindi teacher from The Lingua-India, is a structured teacher, which appreciate.
She is a good judge of how much content is feasible to cover in one session. When I have questions, I know that she is competent to respond thoughtfully.
She is able to stay focused and on-task throughout our lessons, while still acknowledging and addressing any questions that I may have along the way.
She is kind, professional, genuine, knowledgeable and experienced. My Hindi learning vastly improved from her instructions.

This was just the Hindi course I had been looking for. The Lingua India Institute’s approach is professional, systematic and thorough, and I immediately felt that I was making progress with the foundations of the language.
I found the assignments set to be really helpful in encouraging independent work between classes.
The assignments, and the detailed assessments of them, helped to reinforce learning as well as helping me understand where I need to improve.
Classes are lively, challenging and enjoyable and the fee was also very reasonable given the extensive support that was provided.
I look forward to continuing to learn with ‘The Lingua India’ in the months to come whilst in the UK. Highly recommended!

The Lingua India teacher – Rekha Ji has been an excellent Hindi grammar teacher for me. Learning the intricacies of Hindi can be overwhelming, but she has been able to break down complicated grammar to make it understandable for me.
Taking one concept at a time, I’ve appreciated her explanations, followed by conversational drills and then written homework to solidify the concepts.
I now can understand some of the finer points of this language and feel more confident when I speak Hindi.

There are many benefits for learning the Hindi language: –
Firstly, you can communicate with all the Hindi speakers.
Second, because you know Hindi, it is easy to hire and deal with community helpers.
Third, if you have an interest in reading Literature and watching Cinema, you can enjoy them too. Forth, taste and sense the richness of the culture and hospitality of the Indian people.
So, It’s great to learn Hindi.
Learning Dev-Nagari script is purely LEARNER’S choice in the Hindi language learning. But, for the correct pronunciation, we suggest to learn. Because Hindi is a phonetic language, if we change one phone, consciously meaning will change.
Furthermore, the Roman script has not the perfect alphabets to produce the exact sounds in Hindi. Dev-Nagari script is as pronounced as it’s written, so ‘what you see is what you get.
For a foreigner or Non-Hindi Speaker, it is easy to work and survive in Offices and Embassies in English. But it is not feasible to deal with a common man such as a vegetable or a fruit seller, house keeping people, auto-cab driver or cop-up in rural areas among the Non-English speaker, etc. Then a person feels the necessity to learn Hindi.
If you want to learn Hindi language, learn from the basic. In the beginning, the learner should be patient and abides by the teacher’s or instructor’s instructions carefully. If the learner follows the teacher step by step, his or her pronunciation, grammar structure of the sentence and intonation, pitch, etc. will be cleared and corrected.
Often, a student or learner practices wrong things. Later on, it is not easy to change and improve his or her habit, particularly in speaking. So, it is good to start at the beginning.
If you already know some Hindi, it is better to start after assessment. Your teacher will help you decide or choose a course accordingly.
